CDC estimates 94,000 invasive drug-resistant staph infections occurred in the U.S. in 2005 Due to the death of a student once again this deadly disease- MRSA-is back in the spotlight. A problem in the health care setting has spread to schools. Advice to pass on to your children. 1)Wash hands 2)keep your own wounds clean and covered with a band-aid 3) NEVER touch a wound or a rash on someone else's body 4) NEVER share towels, razors, etc. that has been in contact with someone else's body 5) Use alcohol/bleach wipes to periodically clean personal supplies and lockers 6)NEVER place objects e.g. pencils or your fingers in your mouth 7) if you or your child experience an injury that is followed with a fever around 102 a couple days after-report this to your doctor ADVICE H A R D S U R FA C E H Y G I E N E
