All these sites state they are non-partisan. These are ideological sites promoting a certain viewpoint. The list is from FactCheckEd, Politics1 and Wikipedia. These may be used for comparison of various ideological view points. It is recommend that you verify information from these sites using an independent source e.g. CBO reports or stats provided by reporting agencies. PACs


PACs is an acronym for Political Action Committee. Some donate directly to candidates while others use communications (public ads) only. There are two types of PACs. Connected committee associated with a union or corperation (SSF), and nonconnected committees. Each type has their own rules.

Tax-exempt special interest groups. If they bundle money and send to candidates or parties they are required to register with the FEC and provide financial statements and are usually found on online PAC lists. If the main focus is promoting an ideology, they do not have to. The public has no way of knowing who are financing such groups.
